Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
– 1/4 cup warm water (about 110°F or 45°C)
– 1/4 cup warm milk
– 1/4 cup melted butter
– 2 tablespoons sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 egg
– Sesame seeds for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the instant yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, and egg. Mix well.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the bowl with the wet ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release any air bubbles and divide it into 6 equal portions.
  8. Take each portion of dough and shape it into a ball. Place each ball of dough into the cavities of the AKS hamburger mold, pressing gently to fill the mold.
  9. Cover the mold with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise again for another 30-45 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
  10. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  11. If desired, brush the tops of the risen dough with a little beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  12. Bake the hamburgers in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  13. Remove the hamburgers from the mold and let them cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.

Enjoy your soft and fluffy yeast hamburgers made using the AKS hamburger mold!
